Access to Gold Mountain Ranch includes mountain roads with elevation changes and gravel sections. All-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles are strongly recommended year-round and may be necessary during winter or inclement weather. Guests are responsible for selecting an appropriate vehicle for mountain travel.

The scenic drive to the ranch takes about 20 mins each way.

Cancellations must be made in writing by letter or email. After the cancellation has been received, Owner will email you confirmation of the cancellation. The booking fee / deposit is non refundable. If the contract is canceled (date and/or time changed pending availability), more than six months prior to the reservation date, 50% of the total house booking rate and event fee (less the non refundable booking fee / deposit) will be refunded within 30 days unless the fees are being applied to a rescheduled date (if available). If this contract is canceled less than six months but more than three months before the fees will not be refunded. Gold Mountain Ranch has two lodging options:
• The Wilmont (Guest Lodge) comfortably sleeps up to 18 guests across five bedrooms plus a shared loft. We also have two single roll away beds that can be added.
• The Overlook House accommodates four guests in two bedrooms or up to eight guests with two pull-out couches. -
All weekend bookings include a two-night stay at the ranch home, allowing for a full weekend experience. Arrival is typically mid-day on Friday and checkout is by late morning Sunday. That gives you plenty of time for soaking in the views.

Yes, we include everything you need for overnight stays.

We recommend bringing gallon or jugged water to refill water bottles etc. Though the water from the sinks is safe to drink, all of the water at GMR is from our well and spring fed so it is more minerally than most people are used to and doesn’t look as clear in glasses.
-
We have a corn hole set for use!
-
Yes. A property manager is available during your stay to assist with questions and troubleshooting—so you’re not on your own.
-
Not all areas of the property are fully wheelchair accessible, but we do have an elevator that provides access to the upper level of the house, including the main living space and wraparound balcony. Every guest’s needs are unique, so we recommend reaching out to us directly so we can talk through your accessibility needs and help determine if the property is a good fit. We’re happy to help however we can.

Dogs are permitted with prior approval and a signed pet agreement. Guidelines and fees may apply. Pets must be supervised at all times due to wildlife presence and terrain.
-
Children are welcome, but the ranch is a natural mountain setting with open terrain, slopes, wildlife, and limited exterior lighting. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.
-
For best availability, all curated experiences (guided Via Ferrata, horseback coordination, private yoga, massage, chef services, etc.) should be reserved in advance.
-
Gold Mountain Ranch is located at high elevation in the San Juan Mountains. Guests traveling from lower elevations may experience mild altitude effects such as shortness of breath or fatigue during the first 24 hours. Staying hydrated and allowing time to acclimate is recommended.
-
Exterior lighting is intentionally limited to preserve the night sky and natural surroundings. Guests should expect reduced ambient lighting after dark.
