Welcome to the website of Gold Mountain Ranch (“GMR,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, or booking a stay, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of this website.

1. Website Use

This website provides information about lodging, curated mountain experiences, retreats, and related services offered at Gold Mountain Ranch in Ouray County, Colorado.

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and not to:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data

  • Submit fraudulent inquiries or reservations

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute website content without written permission

All text, imagery, branding, maps, and materials are the property of Gold Mountain Ranch unless otherwise noted.

2. Reservations & Booking Confirmation

Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a confirmed reservation.

All lodging stays, retreat bookings, and experience reservations are subject to availability and require:

  • A signed rental agreement

  • Payment in accordance with the agreement

  • Written confirmation from Gold Mountain Ranch

Rates, minimum stays, and availability may change without notice until a reservation is formally confirmed.

All payment schedules, cancellation terms, tax adjustments, and refund policies are governed by the signed rental agreement.

3. Curated Experiences & Third-Party Services

Gold Mountain Ranch coordinates curated experiences including but not limited to:

  • Guided Via Ferrata adventures

  • Horseback riding

  • Hiking access

  • Private yoga sessions

  • Massage services

  • Scenic side-by-side tours

  • Private chefs

  • Live musicians

Certain services are provided by independent third-party vendors. While we carefully select trusted partners, Gold Mountain Ranch does not control their operations and is not responsible for vendor performance, cancellations, injuries, or service outcomes.

Guests may be required to sign additional waivers directly with vendors prior to participation.

All experiences are subject to weather, safety conditions, and availability.

4. Assumption of Risk

Guests acknowledge that staying at a high-elevation mountain property and participating in outdoor activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Uneven terrain

  • Changing weather conditions

  • Wildlife presence

  • Altitude effects

  • Physical exertion

By booking and participating, guests voluntarily assume these risks.

5. Mountain Environment & Natural Conditions

Gold Mountain Ranch is located in a private alpine setting in Ouray County, Colorado. Wildlife is part of the surrounding natural landscape.

Guests may encounter native species such as deer, elk, birds of prey, small mammals, and occasionally larger wildlife. By staying at the ranch, guests acknowledge these natural conditions and agree to:

  • Secure food and trash properly

  • Refrain from approaching or feeding wildlife

  • Supervise children at all times

  • Follow any safety guidance provided

The property includes natural terrain such as gravel pathways, uneven ground, slopes, native vegetation, and unpaved areas. Conditions may vary seasonally due to weather.

Gold Mountain Ranch is not liable for injuries, property damage, or disruptions arising from wildlife activity or natural environmental conditions.

6. Dark Sky & Exterior Lighting

Gold Mountain Ranch operates in alignment with regional dark sky preservation efforts to protect the integrity of the night sky and surrounding ecosystem.

Exterior lighting throughout the property is intentionally limited. Pathways, decks, and outdoor areas may have reduced illumination after sunset. Guests acknowledge and accept these lighting conditions as part of the ranch experience.

7. Mountain Road Access & Vehicle Requirements

Access to Gold Mountain Ranch includes mountain roads with elevation changes and gravel surfaces. Seasonal weather conditions may impact road accessibility.

All-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles are strongly recommended year-round and may be necessary during winter months or inclement weather.

Guests are responsible for selecting an appropriate vehicle and planning travel accordingly. Gold Mountain Ranch is not responsible for vehicle access issues, towing expenses, or delays resulting from road or weather conditions.

8. Water Usage & Septic System

Gold Mountain Ranch operates on a private water and septic system designed to support responsible guest usage.

Guests agree to use water conservatively and avoid introducing prohibited items into plumbing or septic systems. Excessive water use or misuse of systems may impact the property and surrounding environment.

Additional conservation guidance may be provided prior to or during your stay and must be followed accordingly.

Gold Mountain Ranch is not responsible for service interruptions caused by misuse of water or septic systems.

9. Force Majeure

Gold Mountain Ranch shall not be liable for cancellations, interruptions, or service limitations resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Severe weather

  • Wildfire

  • Government restrictions

  • Public health emergencies

  • Utility interruptions

Remedies, if any, shall follow the terms outlined in your signed rental agreement.

10. Website Accuracy

We strive to ensure information on this website is accurate and current; however, we do not guarantee that all content is free from errors or omissions.

Images may represent seasonal conditions and may not reflect exact timing or environmental factors.

We reserve the right to update website content at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gold Mountain Ranch shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website, participation in activities, or lodging stays.

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid directly to Gold Mountain Ranch for the reservation in question.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes shall be resolved in Colorado courts of appropriate jurisdiction.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be reflected with a revised effective date.

Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
