A place full of history and heart
Long before Gold Mountain Ranch became a destination for weddings and retreats, this land was part of a historic mining district—shaped by ambition, resilience, and the people who came here in search of something more.
Remnants of that history remain woven throughout the property, including the Memphis Mine and others like Bright Diamond, Seaberg, American Nettie, Jonathan, and Wannoca.
A new chapter
Years later, Rick and Sandra discovered the property and saw something more.
They envisioned a place to gather with family, slow down, and experience the mountains in a way they couldn’t at home in Texas. What began as a private retreat quickly became something they wanted to share.
Not as a resort—but as a place for connection, adventure, and perspective.
What It Is Today
Today, Gold Mountain Ranch remains rooted in that intention.
It’s a place to gather, to step away from the noise, and to experience the mountains in a way that feels both expansive and personal.
Weddings unfold over days. Retreats create space for real connection. Experiences push comfort zones and bring people closer together.
What hasn’t changed is why people come—they’re looking for something more.
Gold Mountain Ranch is run by a small but mighty team—each of us drawn here in our own way, and each playing a role in shaping the guest experience.
From hospitality and weddings to land stewardship and adventure guiding, our backgrounds are different, but what connects us is a shared respect for the land and a genuine love for helping people experience it.
